Monitors SMART attributes and alerts user to falling values due to damage
Hard disk drive manufacturers have adopted a standard called S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) which reports many internal drive performance attributes.
This software has been designed to perform with minimum user input. When starting the program for the first time, default values for the following 3 options are used:
-Monitoring S.M.A.R.T. values - can be set from 0 to 60 minutes. After each time period, attributes are monitored and displayed in second program tab. Set to 0 if you prefer to turn automatic monitoring off.
-You may choose to receive alerts (in case of value drops) in form of balloon tips or turn alerts off in which case values are still monitored and reported in main program interface (also logged) and can be manually checked.
